Using the site

toolfound is a directory of software products and a launch board. Reading it requires nothing. Submitting, claiming or voting means you accept these terms. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to.

Do not scrape at a rate that degrades the service, do not attempt to manipulate votes, and do not submit products you have no connection to as though you own them. The read tier of our API and MCP endpoint exists precisely so you do not have to scrape.

Listings and submissions

• You may only submit a product whose domain you can verify. Verification is mandatory before anything is published.
• You keep ownership of the copy and images you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on toolfound and in our newsletter and social posts about your launch.
• Some listings are compiled from publicly available information about a product and are labelled as unclaimed. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used for identification only. See the listing policy for claiming and removal.
• We may edit a listing for clarity, correct obvious factual errors, or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or that we simply do not want to host.

Votes and rankings

Ranking rules are published in full on the methodology page and form part of these terms. Coordinated voting, incentivised voting and automated voting are grounds for removing votes and for delisting the product.

Sponsorship and payments

Paid placements are labelled and carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Paid products — sponsor slots, queue skips, featured weeks — buy exactly what their description says and nothing else. Payments are one-off or monthly as stated at the time; sponsor slots can be cancelled at the end of a paid month.

The acquisition board

The acquisition board is a venue only. We are not a broker, an agent, an escrow provider or an adviser to either side. Prices, revenue figures and every other claim on it come from the owner of the listing and are not verified by us. We take no commission and we hold no funds. Any transaction is entirely between the parties, and you should take your own legal, financial and technical advice before entering one.

Liability

The directory is provided as-is. We do not warrant that a listing is accurate, that a product works, or that a seller is who they say they are. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We will update these terms as the product changes. Material changes are noted with a new date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
